Hi, I’m Erika! I’m a California-based photographer, and I capture the stories of real food, good people, and honest brands.

As a little girl growing up in the Napa Valley, my Grandma called me “Eagle Eyes.” Drawn to details, beauty, and irony, my favorite books were her old National Geographic magazines, where I began to learn of the world beyond. Those tattered pages sparked a lifelong love of travel, photography, and storytelling—starting with family road trips in a 1977 Jamboree RV, and eventually taking me around the globe. Along the way, I lived on a Spanish island, kicked off my career at National Geographic in DC, became a news reporter, worked as a portrait photographer, and finally fell in love with the art of food photography in Boston & San Francisco.

In 2015, I returned to Napa and launched Erika Cole Photography, with a focus on California’s food, wine, and lifestyle. Ten years in, I discovered the magic of the Central Coast, and today I split my time between Napa and San Luis Obispo. I serve both wine regions with thoughtful, elevated photography and a love for what I do—and the good people I get to work with.
